How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Braid action on a fixed-charge fusion space
Definition
Fix a unitary braided fusion category and the simple-object representative set used in Multiplicity-aware fusion-tree basis. Let , let , and suppose . Use the left-associated fusion-tree basis. For the Artin generator that exchanges the th and st strands, let be the specified sequence of -moves that changes from the fixed tree basis to a basis where those two charges fuse first, and let apply the corresponding -symbol on each pair-charge channel. Define This defines the generator assignment. The next theorem proves that the assignment descends from words to a well-defined group homomorphism. Word products use matrix multiplication acting right-to-left on column vectors. The abstract group in this definition is the Artin group The braid group by Artin presentation; the positive crossing is the generator convention used for the displayed -symbols. If a motion is described chronologically, its matrix product is written in reverse temporal order.
Positive crossing convention
The diagram depicts the positive adjacent generator on two identical charges. Time runs from top to bottom; the continuous left-input strand passes over the broken right-input strand. The crossing represents , while its pullback on a fusion space uses the inverse in the formula above. This fixes the -matrix orientation; the proof of the Artin relations is categorical.
Remarks
The geometric configuration convention in Geometric braid classes and the unordered configuration fundamental group uses first-loop-then-second multiplication, while raw slicing reverses stacking. This definition fixes the algebraic Artin action directly and makes no extra assertion that the library's geometric group is identified with the Artin presentation under a stronger axiom branch.

13 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
