How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Spin lifts of oriented orthonormal frame bundles
Definition
Let be an oriented Euclidean real vector bundle of rank . Its oriented frame bundle Oriented real bundles and oriented frame bundles has structure group , so the supplied metric gives an reduction: fiberwise Gram–Schmidt sends every oriented frame to an oriented orthonormal frame, and its formulas are continuous because each normalization divides by the positive norm of a nonzero orthogonal vector. When the base, bundle and metric are smooth, these formulas and the resulting reduction are smooth. Denote this principal right -bundle by .
For the positive Clifford convention and the full-even group of Real Clifford group, Pin, and the two Spin subgroups, write for the two-sheeted covering of Pin and full-even Spin are topological double covers. A Spin lift of is a right principal -bundle and a continuous map over satisfying . A Spin structure means an isomorphism class of such lifts over the identity of . This definition concerns ranks ; the rank-zero Clifford convention is treated separately in the index theorem and is not assigned a torsor of unstabilized Spin structures.
The right-action convention is that of Principal g bundle and associated fiber bundle.

15 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
