How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The ell=3 framing anomaly and Kirby blow-up
Statement
Assume full AC, inherited from the weighted RT functor. For the actual ribbon category and weighted surgery construction of The standard root-of-unity sl2 tilting ribbon quotient is modular and The weighted Reshetikhin–Turaev TQFT and modular-functor factorization, the unnormalized Gauss sums are , , and . The weighted normalization is unchanged by either Kirby blow-up, while omitting the surgery-signature correction changes the normalized link sum by .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Full AC, , , the positive-trace convention in the sine data, and the surgery normalization of Modular Gauss sums, the Kirby color, and its slide identity.
The actual category has labels , dimensions , and twists by The standard root-of-unity sl2 tilting ribbon quotient is modular. With these data, Truncated sl2 fusion data give the sine Hopf-link matrix gives the sine Hopf matrix.
, , and the normalized blow-up factors are and (Modular Gauss sums, the Kirby color, and its slide identity).
Full AC (The Axiom of Choice) is assumed for the weighted RT theorem and its duality constructions; it also supplies the inherited countable choice for evaluation. The actual tilting quotient and full weighted RT functor are established by their exact suppliers (The standard root-of-unity sl2 tilting ribbon quotient is modular, The weighted Reshetikhin–Turaev TQFT and modular-functor factorization).
Proof
The labels are . The dimension formula gives . The twist formula gives and . Thus and choose . The Gauss sums are In particular .
A positive blow-up multiplies the surgery link value by and changes to , so its normalized ratio is A negative blow-up has ratio by [F2]. If the factor is omitted, the same two blow-ups multiply the value by and , both nontrivial. Thus an unweighted surgery link sum is not invariant under these moves for this actual category; this is a failure of omitting the signature correction, not an assertion that the weight-zero arrows form a subcategory.
The actual modular quotient is supplied by [A1], so the preceding values are realized category data. The full weighted functor uses together with its exact outgoing cap factors. A Kirby blow-up changes neither the marked bordism, its weight nor its cap-reference correction, and step 2.1 cancels its complete surgery ratio. A unit increase in bordism weight instead multiplies the map by . Thus the actual category has a nontrivial framing anomaly, and the proved weighted functor includes it with the positive weight convention.
