How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Complete coderivations form a filtered differential graded Lie algebra
Statement
Use Coefficient-complete fixed-carrier codifferential deformation. For every fixed degree , the order filtration on is separated and complete, with ; thus is complete as a graded algebra in the degreewise sense, with . The coderivations form a closed graded Lie subalgebra for
With , the positive-order space is a complete filtered differential graded Lie algebra in this degreewise sense, with for , , and .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The coefficient-complete carrier, endomorphism filtration, coderivations, and square-zero degree-one in the stated definition.
Coefficient-complete fixed-carrier codifferential deformation specifies the completed carrier, order filtration, closed coderivation equations, and square-zero degree-one operator .
Proof
Fix a degree . For a uniformly Cauchy sequence in , each is Cauchy in , because eventually for every . For homogeneous of degree , define in ; extend over the finite homogeneous decomposition of each . Limits in the fixed output degree preserve addition, -linearity, and each closed . In particular has degree . Thus preserves the filtration and is continuous. If for all sufficiently large , passing to the limit on every gives . More directly, a compatible family of cosets in determines compatible evaluation cosets on each in every , without choosing simultaneous representatives. Their unique limit defines ; evaluating on modulo proves that its class is the prescribed one in . This proves degreewise inverse-limit completeness as well; if , every belongs to , proving separation.
If and , then , proving multiplicativity. The coderivation equation, the counit equation, and evaluation at are closed conditions: reduce each equation modulo in its explicitly completed target, where sufficiently close maps agree. Consequently and every are closed and complete in each fixed degree for their induced filtration.
Put , . For coderivations, the graded tensor composition rule gives . Subtracting cancels the two mixed terms and gives . Also and . Thus coderivations are closed under the commutator, and multiplicativity proves the additive filtration bound.
The commutator is graded skew because . For , direct expansion of is . The expansion of is . The expansion of is . The and terms cancel in the last two expressions; the other four agree with the first expression. This proves the graded Jacobi identity in derivation form, with all signs explicit.
For homogeneous of degree , expanding gives , since the two terms have coefficients and . Hence . Substituting into the Jacobi identity proved in step 4.1 gives . Because preserves each coefficient filtration, composition with and hence preserve every and every .
The preceding steps prove all graded Lie, differential, degreewise completeness, and filtration axioms on . In each quotient by , any bracket with at least positive-order entries vanishes by the additive bound. Thus the positive filtration is pronilpotent as well as complete, as claimed.
