How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

The Green Hall pairing is nondegenerate and adjoint to product and coproduct

Statement

On the direct-sum Hall space define ([M],[N])G=δ[M],[N]aM. This bilinear form is nondegenerate over Q(ν) and satisfies ([M]⋆[N],[R])G=([M]⊗[N],Δ′([R]))G⊗G, where the tensor pairing is the product of the two Green pairings.

Facts & Assumptions

Given: A finite-field hereditary Hall category and the Hall basis.

[F1]

aM is a finite positive integer and the Green coproduct has coefficient νχ0(M,N)PM,NR/aR (The Green Hall completion and coproduct).

Proof

technique · evaluate on basis vectors
1.1F1algebra

In the Hall basis, the pairing matrix is diagonal with entries 1/aM. Each is nonzero in Q(ν) by [F1], so the pairing is nondegenerate: if x=∑McM[M] pairs to zero with every [M], then cM/aM=0 for every coefficient, hence every cM=0.

2.1F1F2algebra∎

The left side of the adjointness identity is νχ0(M,N)gM,NR/aR. The right side is νχ0(M,N)PM,NR/(aRaMaN), which is the same scalar by [F2]. Thus the identity holds on basis vectors and extends bilinearly.

8 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
