How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Four-dimensional non-Abelian vector superfield in connection normalization
A local classical N=1 superspace prepotential and vector multiplet for the selected SU(2) gauge-bundle sector on flat four-dimensional Minkowski spacetime, in the connection normalization of the supplied pure Yang–Mills model. No quantum gauge theory or continuum construction is asserted.
Definition
Use the physical action brackets and from Physical superspace action brackets and canonical chiral components, with raw mathematical coefficient integrals unchanged. Physical chiral components obey and . All physical action and coupling formulas below use these brackets and physical component names; adding Hermitian conjugation applies only to the F action and occurs once.
Use the selected smooth right-principal bundle and its connection from the non-Abelian Yang–Mills model, with , , , and positive dimensionless coupling . For each matter representation, let be a finite-dimensional complex Hermitian space and a smooth unitary representation; write for its Lie-algebra differential. In the fundamental representation set and , so . In representation , set . In a local trivialization write and let be its represented matrix superfield in , and set when is its vector component. Thus the matter covariant derivative is .
A vector superfield prepotential is a dimensionless smooth even real matrix-valued superfield in the finite Grassmann-valued superspace of the chiral-superfield convention. Under a global rigid supersymmetry variation it transforms as , with the supercharges defined in the chiral-superfield convention. Its local gauge transformations are and , where is chiral, , and is a dimensionless chiral gauge-parameter superfield in the represented complexified Lie algebra . The associated represented matrix curvature is defined by
where and . Admissible vector-superfield data require and the adjoint transition law on each overlap with principal transition function .
Distinguish this represented curvature from the abstract connection-normalized Lie-algebra-valued curvature . With canonical adjoint component field strength , the matrix convention is , whereas . Since , their precise dictionary is
In the fundamental representation this gives , where is evaluated on the Lie-algebra matrices , not on the raw . Thus the chiral action coefficient equals , before adding its Hermitian conjugate. This is a fixed real-coupling classical normalization identity; it is not a quantum-field rescaling or measure identity. Both curvatures are chiral and have the corresponding conjugation/transition law. The abstract has the connection-normalized gaugino and auxiliary components specified below.
In a local Wess–Zumino-gauge representative, the canonical component fields in the prepotential are a Hermitian gauge potential , an adjoint Grassmann-odd Weyl gaugino , and a real adjoint auxiliary field , with expansion . Here and use the fixed antisymmetric spinor tensors. Their dimensions are , , and . The connection-normalized fields are , , and ; hence , , and . The full prepotential is used for supersymmetry transformations; Wess–Zumino gauge is only a component representative and need not be preserved by an uncompensated supersymmetry variation.
