How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Exact-particle-number positional energy shell

Physical scope

Finite periodic boxes of the classical pair-potential positional model; shells constrain pair configuration energy only and exclude kinetic momentum energy.

Definition

Use Λn=[−n−12,n+12)d, its side length Ln=2n+1 and dimensionless volume Vn=Lnd, the periodic positional energy HLn,per of Stable regularly tempered classical positional preparation, and the exact-N measure μΛn,N of Indistinguishable-particle positional measure. Given Nn∈N0, a reduced configuration-energy center e∈R joules per dimensionless reference volume, and a width δn>0 in the same units, define Sn(Nn,e,δn)={ω⊂Λn:∣ω∣=Nn, ∣HLn,per(ω)/Vn−e∣≤δn}. When 0<μΛn,Nn(Sn)<∞, the uniform positional shell law is Mn(A)=μΛn,Nn(A∩Sn)μΛn,Nn(Sn). A shrinking energy-density shell uses some specified sequence δn↓0. Its total energy width is 2δnVn, which is o(Vn) but need not be microscopic or bounded. Existence of a normalizing shell and the existence of a suitable shrinking sequence are separate theorem obligations. This is not a surface measure on an exact-energy hypersurface and not a phase-space shell for K(p)+HNper.
