How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
A holomorphic relation kernel on a bidisc
Example
Assume the Axiom of Choice and let be a bidisc centered at the origin, with coordinate functions . For the -linear map given by , the relation sheaf is a coherent -module and is generated on by the section , including at the origin.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: AC; the bidisc and the map in the Example statement.
The Axiom of Choice: AC is the theorem's adopted ambient assumption.
Coherent module sheaves on complex manifolds: the relation sheaf is the kernel of , and local finite generation means one finite family generates all stalks on a neighborhood.
The stalk of a presheaf at a point: a stalk consists of germs of sections on neighborhoods of the point.
Oka coherence and local coherent free resolutions: is coherent and every finite tuple has a locally finite-type relation sheaf.
Kernels, cokernels, and finite extensions of coherent module sheaves: kernels and finite extensions of coherent modules are coherent.
A sequence of abelian sheaves is exact exactly when it is exact on every stalk: equality of the explicit generated subsheaf with the kernel sheaf is checked stalkwise.
A continuous separately holomorphic function is the sum of an absolutely convergent power series with Cauchy-integral coefficients on every smaller polydisc and The coefficients of a convergent multi-indexed power series are its derivative coefficients, hence unique: holomorphic germs have convergent power series with unique coefficients, and the ring of such germs has no zero divisors by multiplying first nonzero homogeneous terms.
Verification
Fix with . If , then is a unit germ and a relation satisfies . If , then , so is a unit germ and . Thus the stated section generates every relation stalk away from the origin.
At the origin, let as a holomorphic germ. Restricting to gives as a one-variable germ, so [F5] makes . Write the convergent series . Uniqueness of coefficients makes for every , so for the holomorphic germ .
Substituting into the relation gives . The germ ring is a domain by [F5], so and . Hence the same section generates the relation stalk at the origin.
Steps 1.1 and 2.1 show that the generated subsheaf and have equal stalks at every point, where a stalk is the germ module from [F6]; [F4] identifies them. Therefore the relation sheaf is locally of finite type. Under the assumed Axiom of Choice [A1], [F2] makes coherent; is coherent by the split short exact sequence and [F3]. Applying [F3] to shows that its kernel is coherent.
