How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
A nonzero null plane-wave solution of the pure SU(2) model
An exact smooth source-free classical solution of the adopted pure SU(2) model on the trivial bundle over Minkowski spacetime. It is a mathematical model solution, not an observed field or claim about nature.
Example
Specialize the adopted model to the trivial bundle with its canonical section. Let , choose a length and a nonzero constant with unit , and set . Its curvature is , which is not identically zero. With orientation and metric , this connection satisfies and . It is therefore a stationary source-free solution of the adopted classical model; no uniqueness, quantum, or empirical claim is made.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The trivial-bundle specialization of the adopted pure model, , and .
Classical pure SU(2) Yang–Mills model: the metric is , the orientation is , and the action density uses the positive invariant form .
Source-free Euler–Lagrange equation for the classical SU(2) Yang–Mills action: within the adopted model, the source-free equation is equivalent to stationarity under all smooth compactly supported connection variations.
Classical pure SU(2) Yang–Mills model: the local action density is .
Verification
Write . Since the coefficient depends only on , . The bracket term vanishes because , so this is ; it is not identically zero because ; if , both the potential and curvature vanish.
The Lorentzian Hodge operator for the stated orientation gives . Hence . Its exterior derivative vanishes because differentiating its coefficient contributes a factor already present in the wedge product; the covariant bracket term also vanishes because both Lie-algebra factors are . Thus . The same repeated null one-form gives , so the action density vanishes.
By [F4] and step 2.1, the connection is stationary under every admissible compactly supported variation. The curvature is nonzero by step 1.1, so this is a nontrivial classical solution with zero Lorentzian quadratic density.
