How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Extremal dyonic RN throat as a local scaled limit
Statement
Let and be length parameters with , set the RN mass parameter , and use the exact dyonic RN metric and two-form on . For each dimensionless , define on . Then
As , the pair converges with every coordinate derivative uniformly on each compact subset of to
Here have length units, is dimensionless, and are the unit round metric and outward area form. “Convergence with every coordinate derivative uniformly on compact subsets” means that, in a finite smooth atlas, every coordinate derivative of each tensor coefficient converges uniformly on each compact subset. The convergence is only on : it asserts neither extension through , uniform control over the whole original exterior, nor a decoupled theory. In the positive-electric subcase , , the displayed pullbacks agree exactly with the inherited near-horizon theorem's field and metric formulas.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: The exact dyonic RN datum with , , a dimensionless , and .
Dyonic Reissner-Nordström metric and field domains: on , and , where .
Extremal RN to Bertotti-Robinson in C-infinity local scaling: only for , , the map has the stated exact pullbacks and limit on . The local argument below extends the explicit coordinate calculation to the dyonic charge pair; [F2] is used only in its exact positive-electric case.
, , and , so and . The extremality identity is .
Proof
The extremality identity gives . The map is a diffeomorphism from onto , with inverse , . Its differentials satisfy and . Substitution in [F1] gives the displayed .
The same pullback differentials give ; substituting in the two-form of [F1] gives the displayed .
Fix a compact and choose on its radial projection. For and each integer , The denominator is at least ; for , uniformly on , and for the displayed derivatives tend uniformly to zero. Thus every radial derivative of converges uniformly to that of . The other radial metric coefficient is , and the angular coefficient is ; all their derivatives converge uniformly on . The electric field coefficient is , and the magnetic term is independent of . The fixed smooth sphere tensors have bounded derivatives on compact subsets of each chart in a finite atlas covering the sphere projection of . Therefore every coordinate derivative of every coefficient of and converges uniformly on to the displayed and .
If and , formulas 1.1–3.1 specialize to , , and . These are exactly the current hypotheses and field pullback in [F2]; the same metric formula and local all-derivative convergence agree with that supplier. No statement about unprovided charge sectors is inferred from [F2].
Remarks
The two-form is pulled back along the same coordinate map as the metric. The limiting field is not set to a constant by analogy: its electric coefficient is and its magnetic component remains . The uniformity statement is local in the scaled coordinate and deliberately excludes the boundary .
