How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Local spin-connection Clifford compatibility
Statement
Assume . Let be a smooth time-oriented Lorentzian four-manifold, let be a nonempty open set, and let be a smooth future-directed tetrad on . Let be a smooth affine Lorentz connection on with smooth connection matrix in , meaning as in Local Lorentz tetrad and connection. Write for , so denotes the entries of . Fix an integer and constant matrices satisfying
Let be a smooth vector field and let be smooth. With , define and, on -valued fields and forms,
where acts componentwise. Then
where are the covector components of the induced Lorentz connection and . This is precisely a local matrix identity under the stated hypotheses; it does not assert that the matrices or the operator are compatible with, or induced by, a separately supplied representation or principal-connection lift. Such compatibility is an additional condition when this identity is used to describe an associated spinor bundle.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: , the smooth tetrad and Lorentz connection on , constant matrices of the stated size satisfying the Clifford relation, and the smooth fields and .
Assume and the smooth tangent-bundle convention for the tetrad and fields (The Axiom of Countable Choice (), Local Lorentz tetrad and connection).
Local Lorentz tetrad and connection: , the local connection acts on frame components by , and the local coframe has Minkowski metric .
Proof
From the Clifford relation, . Subtracting gives . This is an algebraic identity for every triple of indices, including repeated indices, and uses no group-representation covariance hypothesis.
Contract step 1.1 with . Since by antisymmetry and , the two terms each contribute after relabeling the summed index. Hence . The contraction is valid because each is scalar-valued and the gamma matrices are constant in the chosen local frame.
Write . Then step 2.1 gives . For a spinor , expand and use . The result is , as asserted.
