How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Stimulated dipole-drive transitions of the finite-level model: first-order amplitudes, equal emission and absorption coefficients, and the exact two-level identification
Stimulated transitions of the declared dipole-drive model: the first-order transition amplitude between two declared levels of the compressed matter energy under a continuous prescribed field with the explicit Dyson remainder, the co-rotating and counter-rotating terms of a monochromatic drive with the linear resonant growth, the equality of the first-order stimulated emission and absorption coefficients at opposite detunings, and the identification of declared two-level Pauli matter data with the exact circular and linear two-level drive models. The theorem is conditional on the prescribed classical field and the declared finite-level model; it asserts no quantized field, no photon, no spontaneous emission, no decay, no measurement record and no empirical result.
Statement
Adopt the prescribed dipole-drive model of The declared prescribed dipole-drive model and its long-wavelength regime with its matter data , , and its compact interval , the driven model of The declared driven model: prescribed time-dependent energy families, propagator evolution and the two-level drive models clause (b)(i) and the framework readings of P1, P2 and P7 (State and composition postulate P1: Hilbert spaces, preparations and composite systems, Observable and probability postulate P2: self-adjoint observables, spectral probability and finite unsharp outcomes, Preparation and apparatus postulate P7: declared preparations, isolation and sampling assumptions). Assume the Axioms of Countable Choice and of Choice (The Axiom of Countable Choice (), The Axiom of Choice). Let be orthonormal eigenvectors of with , , put , take with , put and let be the model's transition amplitude of clause (e) of the driven model with the propagator of the drive family . Then:
(a) (first-order amplitude and remainder) with one has with , where with ; in particular the first-order amplitude is the model's exact amplitude up to the displayed Dyson remainder;
(b) (monochromatic co- and counter-rotating terms) if with , and (a bounded self-adjoint operator on ), then and with the value for the quotient when ; consequently the co-rotating term satisfies and the counter-rotating term satisfies whenever ;
(c) (equal stimulated coefficients) for the two-level case with orthonormal eigenvectors , , and , the actual upward and downward first-order amplitudes under the same real prescribed field obey In particular their squared moduli, the model's first-order stimulated emission and absorption coefficients, are equal. For the monochromatic field of (b), the upward co-rotating component at detuning and the reverse downward component at the opposite detuning have equal moduli as well; reversing the transition conjugates its matrix element and swaps the two exponential components, with the same overall minus-conjugation relation;
(d) (exact two-level identifications) if with the orthonormal basis and the Pauli matrices of Finite spin matrices clause (e), if for some real of unit , and if the prescribed field is with , then is exactly the declared circular two-level drive model of clause (f) of The declared driven model: prescribed time-dependent energy families, propagator evolution and the two-level drive models with transverse coupling , so the exact Rabi populations of The circularly driven two-level model: exact rotating-frame reduction, Rabi populations, resonance and inversion times clause (b) are the model's level populations; if instead and , , then is the declared linear two-level drive model with the same and the rotating-wave error contract of The linearly driven two-level model: rotating-wave approximation with an explicit finite-time error contract and the averaged Rabi populations clauses (b),(c) applies to it when . For the linear model is the constant Hamiltonian with exact propagator for , and when ;
(e) (scope) clauses (a)-(d) concern the prescribed classical drive model. The field is unaffected by the matter's transitions; the model contains no quantized field, no photon number and no vacuum, so no spontaneous emission, no emission rate and no photon count is supplied by it. The identifications of with a laboratory atom and field and of the initial preparation with an eigenvector of are tested identifications with uncertainty under P7, and no value of , , , or is asserted.

Proof
Given: The data of the statement and [F1]-[F4].
[First-order amplitude] Clause (a) is the supplier's expansion First-order transition amplitudes for a bounded control: Dyson remainder, the sinusoidal drive with its co- and counter-rotating parts, and the outcome-probability error clause (a) with and , so is exactly the displayed expression; the remainder bound is the supplier's.
[Sinusoidal terms] With the perturbation is with , which is self-adjoint and bounded; the supplier's clause (b) with this gives the decomposition, the co-rotating modulus with its resonant value , and the counter-rotating bound. This proves (b).
[Two-level identifications] Under the hypotheses of (d) one has in the circular case, so with , which is the circular family of [F3]; in the linear case the same computation with gives the linear family with the same . The exact Rabi populations and, when , the rotating-wave contract are therefore the supplier's clauses quoted in [F3]. At the matrix obeys by the Pauli products in [F3]; separating even and odd terms in its finite-matrix exponential gives the displayed constant propagator for , while means and the propagator is . This proves (d), including the zero-frequency branch without a division by .
[Equal stimulated coefficients] Let . The real prescribed field and Hermitian make Hermitian, so [F2] gives . Step 1.1 gives and , proving equal squared moduli for arbitrary complex Hermitian couplings. In the monochromatic decomposition of step 1.2, conjugation exchanges the positive and negative drive exponentials, so the upward and downward have equal moduli at opposite detunings, including their resonant limits. This proves (c).
[Scope and assembly] Steps 1.1 and 1.2 prove (a) and (b), step 2.1 proves (c) and step 1.3 proves (d). Every clause is a statement about the prescribed classical drive model: the field is an external datum, no quantized field, photon number, vacuum, decay or detector entered, and the laboratory identifications are P7-tested as recorded in [F4]; this is (e).
Remarks
- Stimulated, not spontaneous. The equal-coefficient statement of clause (c) is the model's first-order version of the equality of stimulated emission and absorption coefficients; the model has no vacuum field and therefore contains no spontaneous emission. The quantized model and its vacuum-initiated emission are separate items of this page, and the relation between the two model classes is an identification, not a derivation.
- What the exact Rabi result adds. Clause (d) shows that for the declared two-level data the model's evolution is exactly the circular or linear two-level family of the driven-dynamics page, The circular family has an exact Rabi population solution; the linear family is compared with its averaged Rabi solution through the stated rotating-wave error bound. Neither comparison asserts an all-time transition rate.
