How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Massive and null free particles in inertial time
Conditional flat-spacetime kinematic prediction of the two adopted free models; no empirical speed measurement is claimed.
Statement
In the flat inertial-time model of Free shell in inertial time has the square-root Hamiltonian, the coordinate velocity is . For , its Euclidean magnitude is strictly less than ; for the separate massless model with , its magnitude is exactly . Spatial momentum is constant in both cases. These are deductions from the adopted free actions, not experimental measurements.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Flat inertial coordinates, , either the massive model with or the separately postulated nonzero-null model.
The Axiom of Countable Choice (): Assume countable choice ACω, meaning every sequence of nonempty sets has a choice function; no full Axiom of Choice is assumed.
Free massive test-particle action: the massive square-root action is the adopted free model.
Separate massless shell action: the massless branch is separately postulated with nonzero spatial momentum.
Proof
Carry the inherited bundle-construction hypothesis [A1] when invoking the positive-energy shell supplier [F3]. By [F3], . For , the positive term makes the last fraction strictly less than one, giving speed below .
For with , , so [F3] gives . In either case [F3] gives , so momentum is constant.
The massive speed statement is a deduction within the [F1] model; the null statement uses its own separate premise [F2]. No step used or asserted an empirical observation.
