How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Static wave coefficients are determined on a simple surface with adequate observation time
Statement
Assume Countable Choice. Let be a compact, connected, nonempty simple two-dimensional Riemannian background with smooth boundary. Suppose bounds the lengths of all maximal unit-speed geodesics in , and let . For real static potentials , if the full time-dependent Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps for and agree for every smooth boundary input compactly supported in , then on . This equality statement asserts no stability modulus or recovery in the presence of noisy data.

Facts & Assumptions
Given: Countable Choice; a simple compact connected nonempty Riemannian surface; a finite upper bound on all maximal unit-speed geodesic lengths; ; real smooth interior potentials with equal full time-dependent DN maps.
Countable Choice is the axiom base of the wave-data and two-dimensional X-ray suppliers. (The Axiom of Countable Choice ())
Equal wave DN maps on a simple background imply that the integral of over every maximal unit-speed geodesic of length less than is zero. (Wave boundary data determine integrals along maximal geodesics shorter than T)
The scalar geodesic X-ray transform integrates a real interior function over each incoming maximal unit-speed boundary geodesic. (Simple surface and geodesic X-ray transform)
On a compact simple surface, zero unweighted scalar geodesic X-ray data for a real smooth interior function imply that the function vanishes. (Unweighted scalar geodesic X-ray injectivity on simple surfaces)
Proof
Every maximal unit-speed geodesic has length at most . Therefore [F1] applies to each such ray and gives on all incoming boundary unit vectors, using the transform convention in [F2].
The real function lies in the class covered by [F3]. Its transform vanishes by step 1.1, so [F3] gives throughout . Hence .

24 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
