How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Mean-zero NtD map and smoothed kernel observation
Definition
Assume the Axiom of Choice and Countable Choice. Let , let be nonempty, bounded, connected and , fix an open domain and real parameters , , and defining , and let be a real conductivity. Write , let be surface measure, and set The mean-zero Neumann-to-Dirichlet operator sends to the mean-zero boundary trace of the weak solution of with outward conormal flux , as defined by the weak Neumann problem. Let be the nonnegative Laplace–Beltrami operator on the compact boundary manifold, with eigenpairs on from its spectral resolution. For when and any fixed when , put The smoothed observation is the bounded operator . Its extension to all of is , where is inclusion. Thus its integral kernel, when it exists in , is fixed to have zero mean in each variable. No assertion of a kernel's existence or Hilbert–Schmidt regularity is part of this definition.

Dependency tree · two levels
30 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
