How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Jones–Wenzl recursion over unit quantum integers
Definition
Let be a commutative ring with unit and let . Use the quantum integers , , of Temperley–Lieb quantum integers and quantum characteristic. Put and . For , if is defined and is a unit, put
where is the cap-cup generator on the final two of the strands in Temperley–Lieb planar diagram data and endomorphism modules. Thus is defined by this recursion only when every is a unit. The definition makes no assertion that failure of a denominator condition prevents every other normalized projector from existing.
The box labels stand for the corresponding idempotents and the right-hand cup-cap is ; the picture is only a convention aid. All algebraic identities are proved from the labeled matching composition and the relations of The elementary diagram generators satisfy the local Temperley–Lieb relations.

7 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
