How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
At the order-three root the trace degenerates on a semisimple block
Example
Set , and . Then and , so is defined and is a nonzero idempotent of trace zero. In the basis , the unnormalized trace pairing has matrix
Thus the trace radical is , although is semisimple. Its negligible quotient is one-dimensional.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The order-three parameter, the rank-two generator relation, and the closure trace.
At order , the complex semisimplicity criterion gives semisimplicity of (Complex Temperley–Lieb semisimplicity by the order of q squared).
The quantum integer recurrence has , , (Temperley–Lieb quantum integers and quantum characteristic).
The two-strand recursion and trace identities give , , and (Jones–Wenzl recursion over unit quantum integers, Jones–Wenzl projectors: annihilation, uniqueness, partial trace, and closure).
Closure assigns to and to (Unnormalized diagram closure and partial trace).
The rank-two diagrams are distinct basis vectors and generates the algebra (Temperley–Lieb planar diagram data and endomorphism modules, Elementary cup-cap diagrams generate every finite planar pairing endomorphism diagram).
Verification
Since , . Substituting into [F2] gives and , so the recursion [F3] is defined and yields . The relation gives ; the diagram basis makes . Its trace is by [F3].
By [F4], and . Also , so every entry of the trace-pairing matrix in the basis [F5] is . Its kernel is the span of , corresponding to . By [F5], spans the full two-dimensional algebra; and are nonzero orthogonal idempotents summing to , so the algebra is . Quotienting by the block leaves .

Dependency tree · two levels
20 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
