How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
The two-strand Jones-Wenzl projector at loop value two
Example
Take , , so , , and . The recursion gives
It is a nonzero idempotent annihilated by on both sides, has partial trace , and has unnormalized closure trace .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The two-strand Temperley–Lieb algebra with .
The recursion is when is a unit (Jones–Wenzl recursion over unit quantum integers).
For unit quantum integers the projector is idempotent, annihilates the generator, and has partial trace and closure trace (Jones–Wenzl projectors: annihilation, uniqueness, partial trace, and closure).
The recurrence gives and (Temperley–Lieb quantum integers and quantum characteristic).
Verification
Substituting into [F3] yields and . Thus [F1] gives ; the coefficient denominator is a unit in .
Directly, and . The identity and cup-cap diagrams are distinct basis vectors, so the coefficient on the identity makes .
From [F2], and . These agree with direct closure: and , so .
Depends on
- Unnormalized diagram closure and partial trace
- Diagram closure trace is cyclic and satisfies the tower rules
- Jones–Wenzl recursion over unit quantum integers
- Jones–Wenzl projectors: annihilation, uniqueness, partial trace, and closure
- Temperley–Lieb quantum integers and quantum characteristic
- Temperley–Lieb planar diagram data and endomorphism modules

Dependency tree · two levels
12 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
