How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Worked grid-complex cases for the unknot
Example
Assume countable choice. Let be the oriented unknot and let be the specified -by- and -by- grids. Their tilde homology ranks are and . For each of these grids, the grid-to-knot-Floer identification gives , where or , has one generator in bidegree and one in bidegree , and has rank one by the standard genus-zero diagram and pointed-diagram invariance. Thus the respective ranks are exactly the dimensions supplied by the stable factors and .
Depends on
- Toroidal grid diagrams and gradings for oriented knots
- Finite grid complexes for knot Floer theory
- The three grid rectangle differentials square to zero
- The 2-by-2 unknot grid has tilde homology of rank two
- A 3-by-3 unknot grid has tilde homology of rank four
- Grid homology is independent of the grid and computes knot Floer homology
- The standard genus-zero hat diagram of the unknot has rank one
- The Axiom of Countable Choice ($\mathrm{AC}_\omega$)
- Invariance of the multipointed Heegaard Floer complex

Dependency tree · two levels
26 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
