How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Localization is left adjoint to global sections
Statement
For every , is left adjoint to .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The TDO sheaf , its global algebra , a left -module , and a quasi-coherent left -module .
as filtered algebras (Global sections of twisted differential operators on the flag variety).
Localization is the sheafification of , with restrictions induced from (Global sections and localization at a fixed infinitesimal character); the tensor-Hom correspondence for this construction is checked in step 2.1.
The local PBW basis makes quasi-coherent as a left -module (PBW and integral line-bundle twisting for flag TDOs, proof steps 1.1–2.1). On an affine chart , it is therefore the associated sheaf of ; its sections on are (Affine quasi-coherent sheaves are modules). The Axiom of Choice is inherited from these suppliers.
Proof
On an affine chart , put . Right multiplication by commutes with left multiplication by . Thus is an -module, and for every there is a natural isomorphism The inverse sends to ; additivity and the balancing relations make both maps well-defined. By [F2] and [F3], the tensor presheaf on the distinguished-open basis of is therefore the associated sheaf of . Its sheafification has that restriction on , proving that is quasi-coherent. Left multiplication on its first factor gives its left -action.
The tensor-Hom correspondence here follows directly from balancing. Given an -linear map , write its value at as and send over to . The -action on Hom is , so the rule is balanced, respects restrictions, and extends through sheafification to a -linear map. Conversely such a sheaf map gives by . These constructions are inverse and natural, and step 1.1 places their source in the required quasi-coherent category.
Evaluation at identifies with . A morphism is determined by the image of ; conversely, each global section defines the morphism . Under this identification the -action is the one from [F1]. Substituting into step 2.1 gives the natural bijection which is the asserted adjunction. Right exactness of localization follows because a left adjoint preserves cokernels.

37 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
