How statement and proof provenance work

The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.

  • Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
  • AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
  • AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.

These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

The mixed mini-element backward Euler Navier–Stokes scheme

Definition

Assume Countable Choice as inherited from the energy-space conventions. Interpret each interval forcing average as a Bochner integral; its existence follows from the stated L2 forcing and the Bochner integrability criterion (The Axiom of Countable Choice (ACω), Bochner integrability criterion). Let D be as in Energy weak solutions of incompressible Navier–Stokes, let Th be a conforming shape-regular affine simplicial mesh of D, and let Vh,Qh,Zh be the MINI spaces and weak divergence kernel of The conforming P1-bubble/P1 mini element and Weak and pointwise divergence-free discrete velocities. For a partition 0=t0<⋯<tN=T, write τn=tn−tn−1 and fhn=τn−1∫tn−1tnf(t) dt. Given uh0∈Zh, a backward Euler mini-element solution is a sequence (uhn, phn)∈Vh×Qh satisfying, for n=1,…,N, (uhn−uhn−1τn,vh)L2+aν(uhn,vh)+c(uhn;uhn,vh)+b(vh,phn)=(fhn,vh)L2(vh∈Vh), b(uhn,qh)=0(qh∈Qh). All pressure variables use the zero-mean gauge Qh⊂L02(D). Restriction to vh∈Zh eliminates pressure. The equations are well-defined by Well-definedness of the finite-dimensional mini backward Euler equations ↗; this definition claims no solver termination or error rate.

33 results within two dependency steps of this one, each drawn at its shortest distance from it. An arrow runs from a result to what uses it, so the chart reads left to right and ends at this result, which carries a heavier outline. Every node is a link to that result.
