How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Periodic PIC deposition shape and gather operators
Definition
On the torus and grid of Periodic uniform PIC grid and inner product, an algebraic assignment shape is any family of functions such that for every . For the smooth fixed- branch used in the force-error and ODE results, fix , put and choose the explicit even periodic kernel For this smooth branch and each , set Each factor in the kernel denominator is positive, so and the smooth-branch weights are well-defined. For any algebraic shape family above and finitely many particle positions with charges , write and define deposited charge density For any grid scalar , its potential gather is . For any grid vector , its field gather is defined componentwise by the same weights, . On the smooth fixed- branch, means the explicit family above.
