How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.
Radial gauge yields the Getzler oscillator as the leading operator
Statement
Assume full AC. Near any point of a closed even-dimensional geometric Clifford module, choose normal coordinates and radial parallel transport. Give , , and Getzler degrees , respectively. The transport coefficients of The geometric Dirac heat parametrix has a graph-norm remainder have Getzler degree at most , and the leading operator of is the formal oscillator where is the skew tangent-curvature matrix written in exterior-form symbols and acts by exterior multiplication together with its endomorphism action on the multiplicity space. The diagonal supertrace coefficients vanish for when , and the coefficient is determined by the oscillator heat equation. For , use the orientation-graded reference line from The A-hat form and relative Chern character; then , , for , and .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: Full AC, a closed even-dimensional geometric Clifford module, its Lichnerowicz formula, heat transport coefficients, and the irreducible spinor module.
The transport recursion and uniform differentiated remainder are proved in The geometric Dirac heat parametrix has a graph-norm remainder.
The Lichnerowicz curvature split and relative commutant curvature are proved in Lichnerowicz formula for a geometric Dirac operator, Spinor and geometric Clifford bundles and connections are well defined.
For , the irreducible complex spinor module has volume chirality and locally (Complex spinor modules and complete reducibility for Euclidean Spin, Even-dimensional spinor bundles, chirality, and the spin connection, Spinor and geometric Clifford bundles and connections are well defined). In dimension zero, the reference grading is and (The A-hat form and relative Chern character).
The complex spinor dimensions and half-spin decomposition are supplied by Complex spinor modules and complete reducibility for Euclidean Spin, with the negative-generator translation fixed in the local spinor definition. Full AC is inherited through the compact analytic suppliers (The Axiom of Choice).
Proof
Given: The radial normal-coordinate chart at , the connection, and the transport recursion from [F1]. Steps 1.1–5.1 treat ; the finite-dimensional case is step 6.1.
In radial gauge . The curvature identity and give . Therefore and integration from to yields This derives the radial-gauge formula rather than assuming it.
In the local factorization from [F3], spin curvature has Clifford degree two, while the multiplicity curvature commutes with Clifford multiplication. The leading radial connection term is with ; multiplicity-connection terms are and have Getzler degree at most . Thus has leading part of degree . The Lichnerowicz formula [F2] then shows has degree and the stated leading oscillator, since scalar curvature has degree and the relative curvature acts by exterior multiplication with degree .
On a local factorization , the grading identity from [F3] is , with . For homogeneous and a Clifford monomial , the ordinary trace factorization is ; at top Clifford degree , is even and the latter factor is . This identifies the global graded trace with the spinor Clifford trace times the multiplicity supertrace; the overlap law for makes it independent of the chosen factorization. The radial transport recursion in [F1] has leading part ; all metric corrections have positive coordinate order. By step 2.1, raises Getzler degree by at most , so induction from gives . If , then : the product is a nonempty Clifford monomial, and conjugation by a generator inside it when its length is even, or outside it when its length is odd, changes its sign while preserving trace. For , . Hence for , and the order- component is the unique solution of the leading oscillator transport recursion, with the multiplicity factor .
In the finite even exterior-form algebra, put , , , and define The formal series truncate in each exterior degree. The scalar identities and give and , using . For , symmetry of , skew-symmetry of , and make the mixed term vanish and give These identities cancel the constant and quadratic terms in , so solves the oscillator heat equation. Since and as , its normalized Gaussian has the required delta initial value. After factoring , write . Substitution into the heat equation gives the same leading radial transport recursion and initial coefficient as the Getzler-leading in step 3.1. At each order that radial equation has a unique smooth solution by the heat-transport integral formula in [F1]; the singular homogeneous solution is excluded by smoothness at . Thus the leading transport coefficients agree with this explicitly normalized oscillator solution, including the multiplicity supertrace.
The differentiated graph-norm remainder in [F1] ensures that this transport coefficient is the coefficient of the actual heat kernel: under , , and Getzler rescaling, the worst Clifford factor is , canceled by the heat-kernel normalization . For any fixed finite collection of derivatives, choose the arbitrary remainder order in [F1] large enough; its rescaled error is then and tends to zero. Thus no convergence of rescaled global kernels is assumed. The sign convention is fixed by and ; reversing either changes both the radial curvature matrix and its oscillator coupling. All assertions are local in and patch over the diagonal.
If , the coordinate space is a point and has no coordinate derivatives or curvature two-forms. The Dirac operator and are zero, and their heat operator is for every . The normalized zero-dimensional Gaussian is , so its coefficient is and all higher vanish. There is no condition to check. The grading in [F3] gives , hence . Thus the oscillator determines the stated coefficient at either orientation; no positive-dimensional volume-chirality formula is imposed at a negative point.
