How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

Assume the Fibonacci fusion rule and the fixed-chirality data stated in Fibonacci B6 path projectors satisfy the braid relations.
Proof
The fusion rule and convention in [F8], together with recurrence [F7], give , , and . The eight paths in thus decompose by the first-three-charge label: charge contributes dimensions, and charge contributes of dimension . The operator is identity on the first summand. On the two-dimensional first-three charge- factor it has determinant and trace , so the full spectrum of is with multiplicity and each with multiplicity , where .
The minimal polynomial of is , whose other root is . If were a root of unity, every algebraic conjugate of its trace would be a sum of two roots of unity and have absolute value at most , contradicting the conjugate . Thus is irrational.
By [F3], powers of are dense in the circle after choosing an eigenbasis. Let be the closure of the normalized B6 image in . Then , so the nonzero tangent lies in .
Starting with , construct a list as follows, all over for the independence tests: repeatedly scan in current-list order and generator order , appending a word exactly when its specialized row is independent of previous rows. Using the resulting list as a snapshot, scan commutators in lexicographic order , again appending exactly the independent rows. Repeat full rounds until none is appended. Each accepted word is an adjoint or bracket applied to earlier Lie algebra elements, so it lifts to . Unitary conjugation and commutators preserve traceless skew-Hermitian matrices.
[F2] makes reduction of every coefficient and denominator in these words well defined. The exact integer-arithmetic certificate research/scaffold-audit-2026-10-16/topological-quantum-computing/b6-su8-lie-rank-certificate.py selects 63 words by the procedure of step 4.1 (the script labels them ; this proof renames them ) and returns determinant for the minor formed from the first row-major coordinates of these matrices. A zero algebraic determinant would map to zero in ; since , the exact determinant is nonzero. The omitted coordinate is the final diagonal entry, determined by trace zero. Thus the selected traceless skew-Hermitian matrices are linearly independent over .
Each has determinant by [F1], hence is finite. Since is connected, its determinant is , so . A connected coordinate neighborhood of the identity in the Lie group lies in ; translating it shows that is open in , so . By [F5], has real dimension . Step 5.1 supplies independent elements of , so . Thus the inclusion has an isomorphism as its differential at the identity, and [F9] makes it a local diffeomorphism. Its image contains an open neighborhood of the identity and is an open subgroup of . By [F6], is connected, so this subgroup equals . Hence the B6 closure contains .
Remark
The deterministic scan in step 4.1 constructs exactly 63 Lie words from the same initial tangent by conjugations and Lie brackets; the script prints their names as , which this proof calls . The exact minor has determinant modulo , so these Lie words are independent; each generator has determinant . These are the projection data used by the joint-closure argument; they do not assert an efficient braid compiler.
