How statement and proof provenance work
The first chip identifies the source of the statement or construction; the second identifies the source of its local proof or verification.
- Literature-sourced: the exact statement appears in a cited source; only wording and notation differ.
- AI-adapted: a semantically identical restatement of literature-sourced material, modulo indexing, notation, and boundary cases adopted by the library.
- AI-generated: a genuinely novel statement formulated by AI, with no source for the claim itself.
These labels describe origin, not correctness: citations and verification chips remain separate evidence.

2 · Summary
Scope
These examples test the exact interfaces from emg-ms03. The two-center example specializes the proved multicenter exterior and keeps both removed centers outside the manifold. The nonharmonic counterexample uses the arbitrary-positive-H curvature table directly and exhibits a nonzero Einstein-Maxwell residual for one smooth positive function. The Bertotti-Robinson example shows why its constant sphere radius cannot be used as an area-radius coordinate. The null-wave counterexample has all four stated quadratic scalar invariants zero while its field and curvature are nonzero.
Two-center flux geometry
The sketch is a meridional cross-section of Euclidean coordinate space through two distinct excluded centers. Each pair of concentric circles represents coordinate spheres about one center; the larger dashed circle represents a coordinate sphere enclosing both. Arrows mark the outward Euclidean normal used in the flux calculation. The curves are schematic and do not represent horizons or prove any field equation; exact radii, harmonicity, and fluxes are established in prop-emg-xs-mp-multicenter.

Nonharmonic conformastatic data fail the electrovac equation
Statement refuted
For every smooth positive on an open and every , the metric of Positive-scalar conformastatic chart data together with the potential gives a geometric electrovac datum of Geometric electrovac equations and flux normalization, without any harmonicity condition on .
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The arbitrary-positive- conformastatic chart, its curvature table, and the geometric electrovac equations.
Positive-scalar conformastatic chart data defines , , , and .
The positive-scalar conformastatic chart tensor is Lorentzian gives the Lorentzian future orthonormal frame and .
Arbitrary-positive-H conformastatic Ricci and Einstein components gives for every positive function .
Sourced Maxwell sign and current conservation, for a smooth closed two-form and a smooth vector field satisfying with fixed and , proves for , so a nonzero divergence component forces .
Fix a length , put , , , and .
Counterexample
The function in [A1] is smooth and strictly positive. Its derivatives are , , and . The potential is smooth on all of , and its field is , with . Since , it satisfies . The metric is Lorentzian by [F2].
In the orthonormal frame [F2], the field components satisfy , so and . Also and by [F1, F2], hence . Using and from [F3], together with symmetry of and antisymmetry of , gives . Define the smooth vector field by . Fix auxiliary constants and , using , and define the smooth vector field . Then by construction, and by step 1.1, so all hypotheses of [F5] hold on the smooth, boundaryless, oriented and time-oriented chart manifold from [F1, F2]. The auxiliary is used only to apply this conditional mathematical identity. By [F5], . Contraction with the nowhere-zero volume form is injective, and the computed is nonzero. Hence , violating the source-free Maxwell equation in [F4]. If this residual were interpreted as a matter current, that would require an additional sourced model; none is assumed here. The Ricci table [F3] gives . Therefore . This also violates the necessary Ricci equation [F4], so these smooth conformastatic data are not geometric electrovac. This counterexample uses the arbitrary-positive- supplier directly; the harmonic-only theorem is not applied outside its hypotheses.
Bertotti-Robinson has no non-null areal-radius coordinate
Statement refuted
For every datum in Constant-radius Bertotti-Robinson product data, the function that assigns to each base point the square root of the area of its spherical factor divided by is a local coordinate on the four-manifold.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The product metric and sphere factor of Constant-radius Bertotti-Robinson product data, and its verified field equations.
Constant-radius Bertotti-Robinson product data gives the induced metric on each sphere factor, with constant.
Product electrovacuum equations from full factor Ricci proves that this product data is a geometric electrovac datum.
Smooth manifolds and their smooth charts defines a smooth chart as a coordinate map in the smooth atlas, with smooth transition maps and smooth coordinate parametrizations.
Use any and either admissible positive function in Constant-radius Bertotti-Robinson product data.
Counterexample
Parametrize the unit sphere away from its seam and poles by . The tangent vectors and are orthogonal, with squared lengths and , so the induced metric is and its outward area form is . The omitted seam and poles are chart-boundary sets of two-dimensional measure zero. Hence . The radius- sphere factor has area form and area . Thus its area-radius function is at every .
The function is constant, so everywhere. If it were a coordinate function in a chart at , let be the coordinate vector for its component. Since is open, for all sufficiently small , and the chart's smooth coordinate parametrization gives a smooth curve . Then , whose derivative at is ; thus , contradicting . Therefore cannot be a local coordinate.
By [F2], the example is an actual source-free electrovac product datum, so the failure is not caused by a missing field-equation condition. It refutes the universal claim in the Statement.
Zero quadratic invariants need not mean flatness
Statement refuted
For every smooth source-free geometric electrovac datum, if , the scalar curvature , , and all vanish, then and the metric is flat, meaning its Riemann tensor vanishes identically as fixed in Null wave curvature and zero quadratic invariants.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The smooth null-wave electrovac family and its quadratic invariants.
Smooth null electrovac wave candidate data defines the candidate data on from smooth profiles and a transverse harmonic function .
Geometric electrovac equations and flux normalization defines the source-free Einstein-Maxwell equations and curvature convention.
Exact electrovac plane-wave family proves the defined family is a source-free geometric electrovac.
Null wave curvature and zero quadratic invariants proves the four scalar invariants in the Statement vanish identically and gives in the defined coordinates.
Null wave curvature and zero quadratic invariants fixes “flat” to mean that the Riemann tensor vanishes identically on the four-manifold.
Fix a constant with inverse-length units, and set , , and .
Counterexample
The choices in [A1] satisfy the smoothness and transverse-harmonic hypotheses in [F1]. They give and , which is nonzero. Under the definition in [F2], [F3] proves this is a smooth source-free geometric electrovac datum.
Applying [F4] gives . For the constant profile in [A1], [F3] also gives . But , so . Thus the field and Ricci tensor are nonzero and, by [F5], the metric is not flat although all four displayed scalar invariants vanish.
Two-center exact exterior with same-sign fluxes
Example
Let have length units, set and , and take . On , put
The resulting datum is an exact source-free electrovac exterior. For either center , every coordinate sphere with , oriented by its outward Euclidean normal, has electric flux and magnetic flux zero. Precisely, fix any and use the oriented embedded sphere in the spacetime, where as in Finite positive multicenter MP exterior and fluxes; the fluxes are the pullback integrals under that inclusion and are independent of . The centers are excluded from the manifold; this example asserts no center regularity, horizon extension, equilibrium stability, or observation.
Facts & Assumptions
Given: The distinct centers, positive lengths, sign, and the exact harmonic MP family.
Positive harmonic conformastatic electrovac data defines , the metric, and the global potential on a positive harmonic exterior.
Finite positive multicenter MP exterior and fluxes proves smoothness, harmonicity, source-free electrovac equations, and the flux for each isolated center.
and the two centers are distinct.
Verification
The Euclidean distances and are positive and smooth on . The formula is the instance of the function in [F2], with positive coefficients and , so it is positive and harmonic on and defines the metric-field data of [F1].
Apply [F2] with , , , and . For every displayed , the closed radius- ball about either center excludes the other center. Thus [F2] applies to the time-slice embeddings specified in the Example, giving the geometric electrovac equations on the full punctured domain and , on every such sphere; these values are independent of . The result is an exact mathematical example; none of the excluded centers is included as a regular point.
